HOUSE AND GUEST BEDROOMS

Our sunlit wooden house “Dolphin-View” looks a bit like a Swiss chalet. Next to the entrance there is a well-equipped laundry. The staircase leads to the first floor and thus into the living area. On this floor there are our private premises as well as our guest wing.

In the guest wing we have two twin bedrooms: The "Dolphin" with a covered terrace and sea view and the "Bushbuck" with a view of the indigenous bush. Both rooms have an en-suite bathroom and are each equipped with a hairdryer. An extra bed for children can be provided if needed. A beach bag with beach towels is at our guests' disposal in both rooms as well. Between the rooms there is a counter with coffee, tea and rusks, a fridge with fresh water, a microwave oven, dishes etc. In addition, our guests are welcome to use our covered lounge area behind the house with a beautiful view of the forest.

Our whole house is equipped with new, double-glazed, well-sealed windows. Therefore, even in the wintermonths the rooms are not as cold as elsewhere. Furthermore the house is equipped with Wifi, which is available to our guests free of charge. For a small fee, the laundry room can be used upon request.

We live here in an area with constant lack of water. Therefore we change the towels only twice a week and the sheets once. The rooms/bathrooms are cleaned weekly. Additional change of towels/linen can be done upon special arrangement.

ROOM DOLPHIN

Beautiful south facing room with a covered terrace overlooking the dune in front of the house and the sea in the background. During the whole year one can often see the dolphins passing by and with lots of luck a bryde's whale in the distance and in the winter months, from May to October, the southern rightwhales as well as the humpback whales. With open windows one can hear the beautiful sound of the sea. The bathroom is equipped with a shower as well as a bathtub. This room is the cooler one, as here in the southern hemisphere the sun passes on the north side. There is a small electric heater in case it gets too cold.

ROOM BUSHBUCK

Sunlit room with a large window facing north - which is the sunny side here in the southern hemisphere - overlooking the indigenous bush. With a bit of luck you can watch a bushbuck eating our flowers in the area behind the house. This room is very quiet, one can only hear the birds chirping. There is a flat-screen TV with all DStv programs available. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and two washbasins. This room is the warm one, especially during the winter months, when the sun is low, it gets nicely warmed up during the day - and if it is too warm, it can quickly be cooled down at night by opening the windows.
